Eyes On Tomorrow

As 2025 kicks off, I’ve been thinking about all the things I’m genuinely looking forward to this year. From movies and TV shows to advances in technology, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Here’s a rundown of what has me excited as we dive into 2025.

Movies

There’s no shortage of  blockbusters coming our way, and a few stand out for me:

F1 Movie

Okay, let’s address the elephant in the room: the on-track filming we’ve seen during Formula 1 races has been, well, a bit cringy. Brad Pitt on the podium? Meh. That said, I’m still rooting for this movie. F1 is one of the most electrifying sports in the world, and if they manage to capture even a fraction of that energy on screen, it’ll be worth watching and could be another driver of fan engagement like drive to survive.

Superman

Did we need another Superman movie so soon? No. But to be honest this character has been a bit neglected in comparison to other superheroes. A fresh take on Superman might be exactly what we need to reignite the franchise. I’m cautiously optimistic about this one.

Untitled Paul Thomas Anderson Movie

I know nothing about this movie. Zero. Nada. But then again I don’t think anyone does. Sometimes it’s nice to go into a film blind and just enjoy the show.

TV Shows

TV shows have been absolutely killing it lately, and 2025 is bringing some heavy hitters:

Severance: Season 2 – Season 1 was fantastic and was thought provoking content. I can’t wait to see the further blurring of the two severed worlds.

Andor: Season 2 – Season 1 proved there’s still room for storytelling in the galaxy far, far away.

Daredevil: Born Again – Charlie Cox is back, and one of the best Marvel characters is back.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight – Game of Thrones prequels haven’t let me down yet.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf – I’m expecting an action packed season based on the book, and I’m here for it.

The Last of Us: Season 2 – After an incredible first season, I’m eager to see how this post-apocalyptic story continues and if it’ll continue to follow the video games storyline.

There are plenty of other shows I’m excited about, but release dates are still up in the air (Stranger Things, I’m looking at you). Until those get confirmed, I’m not holding my breath.

Artificial Intelligence

If you’re not using AI by now, you’re officially behind. I get it, AI can feel overwhelming at first, but once you start, it’s a game changer. Whether it’s helping you brainstorm ideas, automating repetitive tasks, or even just proofreading your work, AI tools have come a long way.

In 2025, I think we’ll see:

  • Generative AI that feels seamless – We’re getting closer to AI-generated text being indistinguishable from human writing. I think these lines will blur further than ever.

  • AI agents – Imagine hiring or building an AI “expert” to handle specific tasks, from coding to customer service. These agents will collaborate with others to tackle complex projects. Agentic AI & Swarming will be a top narrative.

  • Better integration – When tools like Siri can handle these tasks as naturally as ChatGPT or Claude, that’s when everyone will “get” AI.

  • User Specific Content - Have you ever thought of a game, tv show, or movie idea that you wanted to make? You’ll be able to generate content that is specific to you and that YOU want to see. This content won’t exist to anyone else unless you decide to share it.

My advice? Dive in now. Pick up ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI tool and start experimenting. The future is here, and it’s only getting better.
